Bantam Information

The field size will be smaller than high school regulation. The fields will be equivalent to the size of a U-11 U.S Soccer Field. They will fit in the outfield of a Baseball field. This was chosen due to the number of games and time of the year.

Due to the number of teams (8) we will play a full round robin with all teams playing each other team in thier division plus one non divisional game. This will result in each team playing four games. 2pts are earned for a win, 1 for a tie and 0 for a loss. Tie breakers for championsnhip position will be goals for, then goals against then head to head.

The top two teams will play for the championship, 3rd and 4th place will play for third place and the remaining teams will have a consolation game.

The Championship Game and the 3rd place game will not result in a tie. If a tie occurs after regulation then a Brave Heart will be played to determine the winner. The top three teams will be awarded a medal.

Rules:

The Bantam Tournament will follow the CVYL Rules of Conduct. Some points of emphasis:

- There is a 3 pass rule at this age level. 3 passes must be attempted before a shot   on goal should be taken.
- To clear the three passes the defense must get the ball across the midfield line.
- There is absolutely no body checking. Body checking is considered playing the body instead of going for the ball. Boxing (or Walling) out an opposing player for a ground ball is not considered a body check.
- Flagged penalties will result in a fast break and the offending player must leave the field. A substitute can come on in his place. There will not be a man down situation. The player can be substituted back on immediately once play resumes.

Senior Information

Due to the number of teams (9) we will play a small round robin (three divisions of three teams, based on strength). This will result in two games to determine tournament seeding. 2pts for a win, 1pt for a tie and 0 for a loss. Tie breakers for seeding will be goals for, goals against and if applicable head to head.

Then the tournament round will start. All teams will have at a minimum four games. A team could play 8 games (if they lose the play in, but then run the table in the consolation to finish 3rd).  After the round robin seeding qualifier the teams will play a consolation style tournament.

The winner of the tournament will only play four games. A loss in the consolation bracket knocks you out of the tournament. There will not be a tie in the bracket portion. A Brave Heart will be played to determine who moves on. The top three teams will have each player earn a medal and each of the top three teams will be awareded a team trophy.

The Senior Tournament will follow the CVYL Rules of Conduct.
